Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is the American professional basketball player for the L . A . Clippers on the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has began exclusively on the position of point guard. Paul has won the NBA Rookie of the Year Medal, an Olympic gold medal, and led the NBA for assists 3 times and steals 6 times. He's recently been elected to 7 NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and six All-Defensive clubs.
Paul was a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for two time spent college basketball when he assisted the Demon Deacons achieve their first ever number one standing. He has been selected fourth overall in your 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded into the Clippers in 2011.
In December 8, 2011, the Hornets agreed to a three-team trade transferring Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers. A NBA, which owned the team at the time, nullified the offer, with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans are the best off holding Paul.The clubs taking part in the deal in attempted to lobby the league to change its ruling and reconstruct the deal does not help.On December 12, the Hornets approved a trade sending Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers, even so the deal broke down after the NBA added further needs to the authentic conditions. 2 days later, the teams finally formed the trade, transferring Paul and 2 future second round draft picks in the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, plus the Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick in the 2012 draft. After the deal's conclusion, Paul announced which he could choose in the final year for his agreement and remain on L . A . for at least two more seasons.
